June Favourites

So my blogging schedule last month was pretty abysmal. I'm not going to lie - I've had a pretty crappy month, however I'm back on track now...she says!

Charlotte Louise Thompson June Favourites

Okay so lets jump straight in with my number one product I've been obsessed with.

MAC's Expensive Pink Eye Shadow (£10.00 / £13.00) - This is a staple in any beauty obsessed's pallet. The colour is a mix between rose gold and pink and can be made to look completely different when using a MAC paint pot as a base.
Charlotte Louise Thompson MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot

From left to right: MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot, MAC Expensive Pink Eye Shadow, Combo of both

MAC's Rubenesque Paint Pot (£15.50)- This leads nicely on from the above. I use this paint pot as the base for Expensive Pink. The beautiful iridescent golden peachy tones really bring out the rose gold tones from the shadow. In short - a must have. This also last an absolute lifetime - I've had mine for years and as you can see, I've only just made a dint.

F & F Floral Top (£18.00) - A first for my blog by including a fashion item but I have received SO many compliments when I wear this I can't not add it. It's made of a silky material and has a fabulous floral pattern running through it. The cut is very flattering for all shapes and can be worn in many different ways for different events. I like to pair mine with my denim straight cut jeans rolled up with converse or ballet pumps with a vest top underneath, or rolled down jeans and a bright coloured heel and matching clutch. Love it! In fact whilst I was at a Benefit Event recently once of the lovely Benebabes thought it was from somewhere like Zara or Ted Baker....hell yes! (Click on the following link if you'd like to see the top in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1MsUkmr9cQ )

F& F Necklace (£12.00) - Again, another fashion piece and pretty much the same as above...I've received a lot of compliments on it! It just add's a nice pop of colour to any outfit.

NYX Lip Butter (£5.00) - My go to lip product this month has been the NYX Cosmetics Lip Butter in Vanilla Cream Pie, this is such a pretty colour that can go on the lip on it's own or be worn over the top of your favourite lipstick. The consistency is really creamy, not sticky and they smell divine. Not only that but for £5.00 you can afford to buy yourself a few! Go on treat yourself...

Liz Earle Cleanser (£13.75) - So my eyes have been opened these last two months to the wonder that is Liz Earle. This hot cloth cleanser is just amazing and I've been completely converted! Late as always on the band wagon with this but I can assure you it is now a firm favourite in my skin care regime.

Benefit B.Right 'Instant Comeback Serum'* (£36.00) - I was lucky enough to receive the Benefit B.Right skin care range and I can honestly say it's possibly the prettiest and easiest skin care range I've ever come across. I know the prices are a bit hefty but in all honesty these do come up to the same level as some of the high end skin care products out there. This particular product is a serum you apply to your face after you've cleansed and toned, but before you moisturise. It absorbs fast into the skin and adds a boost of hydration and it really does hydrate your skin to give it that instant comeback....see what I did there?

Benefit B.Right 'It's Potent' Eye Cream* (£25.50) - This product has been out for a while and I'd previously got a small size of this for Christmas in Benefit's gift set. However on receiving the full size I fell in love again. The consistency of this is really moisturing and creamy but nothing too heavy. It literally melts into the skin, instantly plumping it to get rid of those horrid dark circles. I love this. - On a side note Benefit offer a 28 money back guarantee on their B.Right range so if you are apprehensive you've got this to fall back on.

Charlotte Louise Thompson June Favourites

Power Bank (£19.99) - Okay so a bit of self promotion here, but this product is something the company I work for, imports into the UK, so naturally I made sure I got a freebie when this arrived! We don't deal direct with the public so I'm not gaining anything out of this financially. I just can't get over how much a simple power bank has changed my life. Literally this is with me everywhere I go, so when my phone goes down to the dreaded red line of 10% I whack this on and it charges my phone over 50% in less than 30 minutes. Life saver.

Sally Hansen Shine Airbrush Legs Lotion Tan (£13.99) - Stop the press! This is a game changer. Any girl, any size, envies women's legs that look like they've been airbrushed...well I do anyway. Perv alert! Hide your legs ladies! hahahaha. I'm obsessed with this product, to be clear this is not a fake tan - it is leg make up so it will wash off when you get in the shower. This smooths over all your lumps, bumps, veins & anything you wish to hide! I am no longer apprehensive about getting my legs out this summer - Hello Barbie Legs!

Charlotte Louise Thompson Diptyque Eau Rose Eau de Toilette

Diptyque Eau Rose Eau de Toilette (£65.00) - Okay so I purchased this about 3 weeks ago when I was in London from Space.N.K and I am obsessed with it. It is my new signature fragrance! As some of you very well know I am addicted to the Diptyque Rosamundi candle and this scent smells just like it. This is a true rose scent, very natural and not at all over powering or synthetic. Please do go and have a sniff when you're next passing a Space N.K as you won't be disappointed

There we have it! I hope you've enjoyed my monthly favourites, leave me a comment below if you've tried any of the above and what you think of them!

As always it's been a pleasure.

What Have I Been Reaching For In March | March Favourites

So I've been a bit M.I.A throughout March, that's due to being manic at work and generally having a rough time with it. One little tip I would say to you all, is that life is too short to put up with crap. Whether it be from a colleague, a so called friend or your boss. Stay true to yourself and you'll end up in the right place - eventually!

So - rant over, brush it off and start afresh! Let's end the month on a high and show you all what I've been swooning over in March.

My Fav's Of March

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy Iris £15.00 - I've been raving about this on twitter recently and on a soon to be blog post about my collection of C & E hand-creams. Crabtree's Hand Care Collection is seriously extensive. If you've never experienced their products I strongly suggest you take a visit to one of their many stores next time you in a shopping center! Everything from the packaging to the product is finished with such a high standard - I'm never disappointed. Which (as you guys may know) takes a lot as I'm seriously fussy, as I loathe having greasy/ oily hands after I use a hand cream. They use Shea Butter, Macadamia Nut Oil and Myrrh in their hand creams to soothe and moisturise your hands. The Myrrh is used to condition your cuticles and nails.

Lush - Grease Lightning £5.95 - This is a superhero in a bottle. I swear by this stuff and I have used it several times a week when I feel a blemish is on it's way OR when a blemish arrives. I cleanse my face and moisturize, then pop this on the areas concerned and the next day it's pretty much gone. My brother had a huge spot at the top of his nose, between his eyes. He was due to go out for a dinner dance thing at his school 2 days later so naturally he started freaking out about it (typical pretty boy!) I told him to use a bit of this straight away and use again before he went to sleep. And hey presto! The next day you could hardly see it, however it was noticeable if you looked closely, so he stuck to the routine and the next day (day of the dance) it was gone! He was seriously impressed. Not often an adolescent boy raves about lush to his friends :) #winning

Tangle Teaser £10.99 - I love this hair brush so much, my life as a blonde has seriously improved since getting this at Christmas. Not much more to say on this than I don't go anywhere without it! One thing that I would like though is for there to be a handle, as my Mum suffers with arthritis and can't keep hold of it easily.

Frozen Soundtrack - I have been playing this everywhere this month. On my phone whilst I'm getting ready, in my car, I've even got my brother to play the songs on the piano! He's super talented!

Illamasqua Skin Base £32.00 - My new Foundation. I've fallen more in love with Illamasqua as of late and for good reasons. I know they are a bit pricey however if a product is good I don't mind splashing out. This gives me full coverage but it does not feel caked on like other foundations ( like my Laura Mercier Silk Creme ) You can also build this up and blend into your skin to give a completely flawless look. I think I'm going to be purchasing the Illamasqua Hydra Veil as I was wowed by it when I saw it in store.

Illamasqua Skin Base Lift £17.50 - This is the concealer to match the above. It's very creamy and a thick formulation which is exactly what I need for the horrendous bags underneath my eyes. In fact I bought this when I went to a Blogger Meet Up in Birmingham recently and the girls I was there with said how good it hid my dark circles and gave the same under eye coverage as some of the vloggers out there! Definite thumbs up moment!

Diptyque Rosamundi Candle £42.00 - Again this has been raved about far too much on my part but on Saturday I got to the end of this beautiful candle. It was a very sad day. However I hunted it down and Space NK sell it, so they have one on hold for me until Friday :D

MAC Vegas Volt £15.00 - An old Lipstick that I've fallen in love with. Not only me I might add. My mother has taken it upon herself to take complete control of this and has stuffed it in her make up bag...she thinks I don't know. Pssh PLEASE.

Tresseme Hair Mask £5.50 - I bought this in a recent Boots haul...which I went a little cray cray on. What's a girl to do when Boots has it's 3 for 2 offer on?! I have read a lot of good reviews about this, so as I'm a real Tresseme girl I thought why not? I am very impressed, it really is a nice treat for my hair. It feels very nourished and soft after I use it. The only downfall I have with this is the lid. I dislike products that I have to use in the shower that don't have a flip top or in a tube. When I apply this, I have to open the tub, scoop some out with on hand, then try and screw the lid back on with one hand. However don't let that put you off, it's excellent.

Clinique Moisturising Gel £29.50 - I am at the end of this product, it's currently sitting up-side-down on my dresser to ensure I get every last bit of moisturiser out before I throw it away and buy a new one. I always seem to come back to this as I feel it really does hydrate my face. I think my skin naturally prefers gel based moisturisers as they just sink straight into the skin, and not much rubbing is involved.

Muji Makeup Storage - I think this has to be my overall monthly favourite! I purposely marched myself into Muji in Birmingham when I was on my blogger meet as I knew I needed some storage, and had seen loads of bloggers & vloggers rave about this. As soon as I set foot in the store, it was a slice of heaven. If you're one of those people like me who has to have things in a certain order, or angle (yes you read that right!) Then this is the place to go. They have storage & organisers for absolutely everything! I had to control myself and buy only what I thought was required. I ended up buying the Acrylic 5 drawer box £24.95 and the Acrylic Compartment Storage Box 6 Partitions £5.95. When I got home, you can pretty much guess what I did first. So when it was coming to the end I realised I could of done with buying another drawer set. Oh well! That's for next time :D Muahaha - sorry bank balance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Bit of a rubbish pic, but wanted to show you the Muji Storage!

So there we go guys, I promise April will be a better month, I have loads of things planned that I know you'll be excited about, just as much as I am!

Have any of you tried any of my favourites? What's your favourite item here?

If you're slightly mad and enjoy what I babble on about, follow me on twitter, instagram and bloglovin

Anyhoo, I've rattled on enough!

As always guys, It's been a pleasure.

Girls Pamper Day | Relax

So I'm a big believer in pamper days.
All girls (and guys!) should invest in some me time and give your skin a little rejuvenation once in a while.
So this is just a quick view into what I do on my pamper days :)

Diptyque Limited Edition Rosamundi Candle : MmMelting Marshmellow Moments Bath Melt

So the first thing I do is light my favourite scented candle. My candle of choice at the moment is my Diptyque Rosamundi candle which I purchased at the lovely Liberty of London. This smells simply fantastic.

I then run myself a nice hot bath and place my bath melt in the bottom of the tub and let the water surround it. This creates a lovely pink frothy foam which smells so sweet and delicious! The water changes to a lovely pink colour with a moisturising milky layer on the top which caresses your skin making it so soft.

Pretty <3

Normally when I have a pamper I like to cleanse my hair and wash out all the crap that's built up from other hair products. So I use Tresseme Deep Cleansing Shampoo and Moisture Rich Conditioner so once I've cleansed my hair I can put some moisture back into it. This really is a lovely combo.

I'm currently in love with my latest Lush shower gel - Prince Charming. I won't go into too much detail as I've mentioned this in my last blog post (here). Just know it smells incredible and it lathers well.

I also really like the Garnier deep pore wash. This is a gentle exfoliating face wash which really does unclog my pores and makes my face feel like it's had a good cleanse too!

Another product I'm trying out from Lush is the Silky Underwear powder. I haven't really made up my mind of this yet. It might be that the scent is quite strong so when you've bathed in lush products you don't want anything else on your skin to mask that scent.

Shelf Overview

So now I'm out of the bath and just taking my time in getting ready.
On go my snuggly PJ's and slippers (I don't plan on really going anywhere on my pamper day!) I normally put on a film or in this case put on my favourite TV series which is Revenge at the moment. Have any of you been watching this?

I like to let my hair air dry when I can. I like to use Aussie leave-in-conditioner which also detangles (this smells amazing!), Tresemme root boosting spray, Tresemme keratin oil and not forgetting my purple Tangleteezer (which I seem to have misplaced!). I just brush these products through and whip my hair back and forth! Whilst singing the song obviously...

I then clip my hair back and now it's skin rejuvenating time!

1. First of all it's all about keeping hydrated so I go and pour myself a nice ice cold glass of water.
2. I use my Bioderma cleanser to just remove any excess make up that might have been left over on my skin.
3. Next I use a generous amount of my Clinique moisturising gel.
4. I use my new Garnier Eye Roll On which is used to wake up tired looking eyes - I've actually fallen in love with this product - blog to follow on it shortly.
5. MAC Mineralize Charged Water - I bought this when I was in London over the summer last year, some may think this is a bit of a random product but I actually really bought into the idea of iron charged water... each to their own! I spray this over my face after my moisturiser has sunk in and I feel fresh and awake!
6. I rub on my Bubblegum Lip Scrub and hey-presto, my chapped lips have gone.
7. Apply a lip balm - I couldn't find my Carmex so this had to do!
8. Finally my hands felt rather dry so I applied some Balance Me super moisturising hand cream. This smells quite spa-like. It is rather rich and something I only apply once a day.

Hydration is the key!

Finally, I had a little time to spare so I thought I'd paint my nails with a new polish I bought from Rimmel. I love the colour and think it's going to be my new favourite Spring Summer pick!
What do you think?

So ladies, what do you indulge in on your pamper days? What products do you love to bask yourselves in?

Let me know in the comments <3

And as always, It's been a pleasure.
